- Instruct students to sort the flashcards into safe and unsafe categories.
- Review the sorted flashcards to ensure understanding before proceeding.
Step 3: Creating Routes
- Using wooden blocks and the sorted flashcards, have students create two routes: one for safe terms/actions and one for unsafe terms/actions that their Sphero can navigate through.
- Kindergarteners will focus on creating routes without the flashcard sorting component.
Step 4: Using Spheros
- Allow students to use Spheros to navigate through the routes they created.
- Encourage students to create new routes for their Spheros after completing the initial ones.
Reflection
- Conduct a reflection session after watching the video.
- Ask students what they learned about internet safety and what actions they might do differently online after watching the video.
