6-Week Breakdown

Week 1 Part One: Introduction to Robotics

Learn the basics of robotics and underwater exploration.

Week 1 Part Two: Introduction to Arduino

Learn Basic Arduino Coding and Turn on a light

Week 2: Coding with Arduino

Understand the key principles of Arduino Programming. Arduino's can be used for ROV systems like AquaGator.

Week 3 Part One: ROV Design

Learn about frames of underwater robots.

Week 3 Part Two: Building an ROV Frame

Construct the frame of your underwater robot.

Week 4: ROV Motor Control

Learn how to wire and power your ROV.

Week 5: Catchup Week and Troubleshooting

Make sure the robots are operating and catch up teams on work.

Week 6: Testing and Deployment

Test your ROV in water and refine its performance.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this curriculum, students will:

  • Understand the principles of underwater robotics.
  • Design and build a functional ROV.
